Meet Sarah
I was a child who was endlessly fascinated by how scent made me feel—how it sparked emotions, curiosity, and memory. I was that kid sniffing index cards in the stationery aisle, inhaling every birthday gift before playing with it, and knowing spring here to stay because I could smell the rich animalic base of the earth worms emerging on a wet April day. Literally stopping to smell the roses. And enjoying the floral accord of a warm summer breeze drifting through my Gramma's garden.
My passion for scent deepened through an early interest in culinary arts, which eventually led me to perfumery. It truly took hold when I created custom fragrances for each of my eleven bridesmaids—a turning point that ignited a passion for fragrance design.

What is a botanical perfume-blending workshop?
We offer guided classes where you learn the basics of perfumery (history, scent families, blending techniques) and create your own custom 30 mL botanical eau de parfum using high-quality essential oils and absolutes. 100% botanicals. 0% synthetics.
How long is the workshop, and what’s included?
Typically the workshop is 2 hours long. You’ll receive instruction, hands-on blending time, and one 30 mL bottle of your custom scent to take home.
Are the perfumes natural / botanical?
Yes — Bloom Lab specializes in natural perfumery and uses high-quality essential oils and absolutes sourced from botanicals, rather than typical synthetic fragrance bases.
Can I reorder my custom perfume that I made at a workshop?
Yes—our “Lab Boutique” section offers a “reorder my custom perfume” option where we will blend, bottle, and ship your perfume. Or the ability to book an upcoming workshop if you prefer to make it yourself!
Who can attend a workshop?
Anyone with an interest in scent, creativity, and exploring natural materials. No prior experience in perfumery is required. The ingredient list has a well rounded mix of masculine to feminine offerings!
What does “custom perfume made from your very own wedding flowers” mean?
We can work with botanicals from your event (such as wedding florals) to create a bespoke scent that is designed specifically for you. Your flowers are used to create an enfleurage that then becomes an ingredient in your eau de parfum. This is a tailored service and timelines, pricing, and logistics can vary.
How much do private events cost (or how do I book one)?
Contact us for details on private event pricing, availability, group size, and customization options. Private events can be tailored to your group, venue, and desired experience. Generally there is a $1,000 minimum for all private events. Prices may increase based on the number of guests.
